Maskespill “Masque” & integration

Synopsis:

Maskespill er en historie om oss selv – om oss alle – om følelsene våre og hvordan vi utvikler vår egen personlighet i møtet med samfunnet og med livets utfordringer. Det handler om mangfold, toleranse og integrering. Masken symboliserer rollene vi spiller når vi møter andre, men også flamencoens mangfold og rike muligheter til kunstnerisk utfoldelse. 

Ti profesjonelle artister fra fem forskjellige land skaper en fantasirik forestilling med musikk og dans av høy kvalitet, der tradisjonell og moderne flamenco møtes, og der mangfoldet feires. 

Maskespill is a collaborative festival with artists from the countries: DK, NO, FIN & SE.  

We present a great flamenco dance and music performance that will fulfill your senses. There are 10 professional artists from different countries that create an encounter of imagination, fusion, creation, sharing a message of “integration” as a reflexion of our world nowadays.

The title refers to three aspects we want to emphasise: Cultural diversity, tolerance and integration. The masks symbolising the roles we are playing as we interact with each other. The diversity and creativity of flamenco - Its changing aspects and the abundant possibilities for variation in artistic expression. Specially in the range between tradition and innovation.
